The Value of Toastmasters

I've got to give a speech
to 30 people
People that I've never ever met
I'm sweating at the thought of it
My hands are cold and clammy
My breathing it feels shallow
I feel wet!

Someone who could help me
A weekend course seemed right
but not exactly what I wanted
Then an Ad from Cooks Delight
Came fluttering through my Letter Box
and dropped down on the floor
I love Berkhamsted Speakers
and I will for Evermore.

What is Berkhamsted Speakers?
It sounded a good deal
I have to say
the empathy
More that you can feel
The subscription for a year
WELL clearly it was true
Cheaper than the
weekend course I went on
And I do

not worry anymore
No grunts, I'm on my way,
Watch out! Barack Obama
There's something I must say

Even Impromptu Speaking
is a doddle
I've practised it
the Table Topics way
Ralph Smedley was a genius
of that I'm pretty sure
For Toastmasters is my life
I have to say
