Tuesday 13th September was our Humorous Speech Contest and topics Contest.

 Roger Lefebvre turned out a worthy winner for the Humorous Speech. He had us in stitches with his trials and tribulations with his mother and her hearing aid , wobbling down the High street on a motorised Chair pursued by a pack of hounds and car alarms.  A Pink haired Yvonne Bullen proved a inspiring runner up , explaining a young Yvonne’s  hope to learn toast making skills at toastmaster.

The Topics was won by Yvonne Bullen, with Roger Lefebvre as runner up. The Question was “ where will you be in 10 years time?”

Roger Lord provided a professional Contest Chair. Our Area Governor, Rose Marie Starkey-Calder was Chief Judge.  Thanks to Luc Briand and Yvonne Bullen and others for the delicious refreshments.
