Tuesday 13th September was our Humorous Speech Contest and topics Contest.

 Roger Lefebvre turned out a worthy winner for the Humorous Speech. He had us in stitches with his trials and tribulations with his mother and her hearing aid , wobbling down the High street on a motorised Chair pursued by a pack of hounds and car alarms.  A Pink haired Yvonne Bullen proved a inspiring runner up , explaining a young Yvonne’s  hope to learn toast making skills at toastmaster.

The Topics was won by Yvonne Bullen, with Roger Lefebvre as runner up. The Question was “ where will you be in 10 years time?”

Berkhamsted Speakers Club were privileged to host a fantastic workshop delivered by 3 times District 71 Competition winner and professional keynote speaker; Bob Ferguson!

Guests arrived from as far a field as Maidenhead to witness Bob inspire and motivate his audience on the key principles involved in preparing and delivering a Keynote Speech, to just about any audience you care to imagine!
